Ex-Cofunds chief Brett Williams named SEI Wealth Platform boss

The former Cofunds chief executive Brett Williams has been named as UK managing director of SEI Wealth Platform, the outsourcing service for wealth managers.

At SEI Williams (pictured) – who also served as Skandia’s chief executive – will be responsible for leading the UK private banks team. He replaces Ryan Hicke, who is returning to the US in an executive position supporting the private banks team.

Williams has 30 years' financial services experience and joins from LW2 Private Equity Partnership, where he was partner.

At the same time SEI has named Jim London as chief operating officer.

Williams said he was ‘thrilled’ to be joining SEI, while SEI executive vice president Joseph Ujobai added that his ‘proven track record in building and leading successful businesses will be an important asset as SEI continues to grow in the UK market’.

The SEI Wealth Platform currently supports trading on 106 stock exchanges across 46 countries and 33 currencies.
