Ex-OMGI duo enters model portfolio market with new boutique

Ex-OMGI duo enters model portfolio market with new boutique

Ex-Old Mutual Global Investors' (OMGI) multi-asset team stalwarts John Ventre (pictured) and François Zagamé have partnered with SCDavies & Co to form a new multi-asset model portfolio boutique.

The duo have resurfaced two years after they left OMGI’s multi-asset team following a restructure.

The new boutique is called Kallcap Solutions and will offer model portfolios to advisers. In addition, Zagamé will become co-portfolio manager on SCD's three funds alongside CEO Paul Denley and associate director Richard Morrison.

The funds are the SCDavies Global Equity, Global Fixed Income and the Global Alternatives fund which have a total of £20 million in assets under management.

Ventre will take on a strategic consultant and commercial role in the new partnership.

‘We are always looking out for highly capable partners and in this market, where there has been a lot of consolidation over the past few years, a strategic partnership of this kind is the only way to remain credibly independent,’ said Denley.

The partnership will officially launch this Wednesday.
