Former M&G analyst in court over revenge porn attack on colleague

Former M&G analyst in court over revenge porn attack on colleague

A former M&G analyst uploaded faked images of an intern onto pornographic websites, a court heard.

Davide Buccheri is alleged to have ‘obtained images from her social media accounts, edited and then uploaded these, along with edited pornographic images of females of similar appearance, to pornographic websites’.

Buccheri is said to have carried out a seven-month campaign of harassment against the woman, who joined M&G last September, after she rejected his advances.

Prosecutors said the pictures were uploaded between 15 April and 21 April this year, and Buccheri then sent them on to the company’s HR department in a bid to cause her ‘distress and anxiety’.

Buccheri pleaded not guilty to a charge of harassment between September 2016 and 29 May 2017 at the City of London Magistrate’s Court on Friday and will face a one-day trial on 21 December.

His LinkedIn page says that he graduated from the London School of Economics before joining M&G as a graduate trainee from September 2015 to August 2016. Buccheri then became a fund manager assistant within its asset-backed securities team from August 2017 to August 2018.

M&G was contacted for comment.
