Former UBS Wealth equity boss Arthur joins Hanson

Hanson Asset Management (HAM) has hired former UBS Wealth UK equity boss Johnny Arthur as head of investment management.

Arthur will be manage client portfolios as well as running the investment management team.

Hanson provides both discretionary and advisory portfolio management services to high net worth individuals, entrepreneurs and family offices.

Arthur started out at Tilney, before moving to Rensburg, Deutsche Asset Management, where he managed £1.9 billion, and then HSBC, where he worked as an investment strategist. He moved to UBS Wealth in 2007 to become head of its UK central investment team and head of UK equities.

The Hon Robert Hanson, chairman of HAM, said: ‘I am delighted that someone of Johnny’s stature has decided to join HAM at this exciting time for our business. His reputation for providing expert advice that delivers quality results is well known and will ensure HAM progresses from strength to strength.’
