GAM has hired Societe Generale Kleinwort Hambros executive director Joss Mitchell for its private client and charities investment team.
Mitchell joins as a portfolio director and will be based in London, reporting to GAM’s co-head of portfolio and investment solutions, Kier Boley.
GAM head of investment solutions Larry Hatheway (pictured) said: ‘With more than 30 years’ experience in private banking and wealth management, Joss brings considerable expertise to the team.
‘We look forward to Joss’ contributions to the growth of our business and to helping our clients reach their investment aspirations.’
Mitchell spent more than four years at SG Kleinwort Hambros in both London and Edinburgh. He previously worked as UK head of business development at Citi Private Bank and HSBC regional director in Scotland.
GAM announced it would be expanding and streamlining its London floorspace at the end of last year, consolidating its three historical St James's offices into a single location in the City's Finsbury Circus.
