Goldman Sachs Asset Management has joined force with GQG Partners to launch a global equity fund.
Rajiv Jain, chair and chief investment officer of GQG Partners, will manage the Luxembourg-domiciled Goldman Sachs GQG Partners Global Equity Portfolio.
The strategy aims to uncover high-quality opportunities globally, in an unconstrained portfolio of 35-70 global companies that have sustainable long-term growth prospects at a reasonable price.
‘We believe that including non-traditional perspectives in our bottom-up approach allows us to see things other investors may miss, a belief reinforced by experience successfully navigating two 20%+ drawdowns and a 50%+ drawdown in the global equity market,’ said Jain (pictured).
Nick Phillips, head of international third party distribution at Goldman Sachs, added: ‘Many investors require more global diversification in their equity portfolios as well as a focus on achieving long-term results.
‘Rajiv has become a trusted partner of the firm, helping to manage our clients’ assets for almost a decade. Through offering global developed and emerging market equity exposure in one product, we believe his investment strategy will further help clients achieve their long-term goals.’
