Gresham House has appointed former chief executive of investment bank Liberum, Simon Stilwell as a non-executive director.
Stilwell has over 20 years’ experience in the City. He co-founded Liberum in 2007 and was at the bank until 2015. Prior to that he worked as head of sales for small companies at Collins Stewart and was also a director at Beeson Gregory. He is now CEO of Vitesse Media, an AIM-listed digital media and events company.
He will be replacing Peter Moon as non-executive director, who will be stepping down from Gresham House’s board on 31 December. Moon will then become chairman of the investment committee for the British Strategic Investment Fund, the firm’s patient capital fund for UK housing and infrastructure assets.
Anthony Townsend, chairman, said: ‘I am pleased to welcome Simon to the Gresham House Board. He brings a wealth of knowledge from his two decades in capital markets. His experience of working with companies to grow and forge their reputations in the City will be invaluable to Gresham House.
'Simon is the ideal candidate to carry on the good work of Peter Moon and help support the momentum and shareholder value aspirations of the company. On behalf of the Board and shareholders, I would particularly like to thank Peter for his very valuable service as a Director. He has played a major part in overseeing the successful transformation of Gresham House under the new management team.'
