GWM makes second senior Lloyds Private Bank hire

GWM Investment Management has hired Lloyds Private Banking veteran Paul Allen to bolster its London office.

Allen joins as an executive director and will have both private client and management responsibilities at the firm.

He spent more than 25 years at Lloyds Private Banking in its ‘Mayfair’ high net worth and ultra-high net worth division, where he worked with both private and corporate clients.

‘Paul has been one of the most successful and reliable advisers of our generation,’ said Chris Payne, managing director of UK at GWM.

‘He joins us with a wealth of experience, technical expertise and business acumen, and I expect a hire of this calibre to strengthen our profile in the high net worth and ultra-high net worth marketplace.’

GWM Investment Management is the UK arm of GWM Group, established in 1994. It opened
its London office last May and has more than £1.4 billion in client assets.

Allen is GWM Investment Management’s second senior hire from Lloyds Private Banking.

The firm recruited Tom Milson (pictured above) in July last year who also joined as an executive director.

In order to accommodate the growth of the team, GWM recently moved offices from Cavendish Square to Mayfair.
