Hargreaves Lansdown bolsters board with double hire

Hargreaves Lansdown has bolstered its boardroom with a double appointment.

Fiona Clutterbuck and Roger Perkin join as non-executive directors from 1 September.

A qualified barrister, Clutterbuck has held a number of important roles in financial services.

These include managing director (MD) and head of Financial Institutions Advisory at ABN AMRO Investment Bank and MD and global head co-head of financial institutions group at HSBC Investment Bank. She was also a director at Hill Samuel Bank.

Clutterbuck is currently head of strategy, corporate development and communications at Phoenix Group and a non-executive director at Paragon.

Perkin is a former partner at accountancy giant Ernst & Young and has had non-executive roles with Evolution Group, Friends Life and Nationwide Building Society.

'I am delighted that we have been able to strengthen the board with the appointment of Fiona and Roger,' Hargreaves chair Mike Evans said.

'Both bring a rich experience set which broadens the knowledge base and increases the diversity of our board.'

The appointments come after Hargreaves released its full-year numbers this week showing a 21% increase in profit to £265 million.
