Henderson Eurotrust's Stevenson: dealing with European cynicism

'The European political situation is more settled, the European economies are recovering very strongly and earnings growth is really beginning to come through.'

This is the view of Tim Stevenson, manager of Henderson Eurotrust as he talked about his preferred sectors in the continent.

'There has been a huge degree of cynicism towards all things from Europe,' he said. 'Particularly in the UK where the general loathing has become a kind of pandemic.'

The trust is celebrating its 25th anniversary. The trust currently trades at a discount of 2.7% having returned 55.9% over the last three years versus a FTSE World Europe ex-UK return of 42.2%.
