Henderson promotes Barnard, adds to fixed income team

Henderson has bolstered its fixed income team with the promotion of Jenna Barnard and the hire of Nicholas Ware from the secure loans team.

Barnard, who is co-manager on four funds including the Strategic BondPreference and Bond funds, will now work as deputy head of retail fixed income.

Meanwhile, Ware moves in to a director of retail fixed income role. He has worked at Henderson since 2009 and his remit will include overseeing portfolio management of high yield and loan credits.

Head of the retail fixed income team, John Pattullo said the changes would strengthen the team and that Ware’s experience on the sell side would be a bonus.

‘We very much welcome having somebody of Nick’s ability in our team. His 14 years’ experience gained on the sell side as well as in hedge funds and long only fund management reinforces our commitment to growing our fixed income investment management capabilities,’ Pattullo said.

‘Jenna’s promotion is a natural and well deserved appointment given the exceptional skill she has shown in developing our retail fixed income business.’
