Heronbridge to soft-close UK strategy

Heronbridge to soft-close UK strategy

Heronbridge Investment Management is capping its assets at £1 billion by imposing a waiting list for those wishing to invest in its UK strategy.

A spokesperson confirmed the company did not wish to manage assets over the £1 billion mark in order to protect performance. While the £582.2 million Jersey-domiciled Heronbridge UK Equity fund is managed by William Bevis Comer, the company is nearing £1 billion due to a number of segregated mandates that it runs.

Over the three years to the end of November it has returned 69.1% compared to a 37.1% rise by the Lipper Global Equity UK sector average.

'We are managing the capacity of our fund and of our programme in order to maintain the size of our investment universe and therefore protect performance,' a representative for the Bath-based boutique said.
