Infrastructure fund doubles dividend frequency

Infrastructure fund doubles dividend frequency

GCP Infrastructure Investments, a £288 million closed-ended infrastructure fund, has confirmed that it will move from paying dividends twice a year to quarterly distributions.

GCP’s first quarterly pay-out will come in February, and its current dividend offers a yield of 6.7% on the present share price.

The fund invests in a mixture of private finance initiative (PFI) assets and renewable energy projects.

Over the past year GCP has returned 12.2%, compared with an average of 11.3% from its peer group.

Earlier this year the £393 million Utilico investment trust also switched to quarterly dividends.
