Invesco Perpetual has promoted Nicholas Mason to co-manager of its Latin American fund.
Mason joined the firm in 2006 as a senior analyst and trainee fund manager within the emerging markets equities team before taking on fund management responsibilities in 2008.
In October 2013 he took over management of the Invesco Perpetual Emerging European fund, the Invesco Emerging Europe Equity Fund and the Invesco Eastern Europe and Russian Equity fund.
Commenting on Mason’s appointment, Newman said: ‘Nick is a talented and experienced stock picker with a strong valuation discipline, who takes a fundamental and long-term investment view.
‘His addition as co-manager of the Invesco Perpetual Latin American Fund recognises his contribution as we continue to seek out superior investments in this area of growing interest for our clients.
‘The addition of Nick as co- manager to the Invesco Perpetual Latin American Fund will add further knowledge and experience to the management of this fund. This development will further enhance our ability to cover the broader investible universe.’
Invesco said the investment process of the fund will not change following Mason’s appointment.
