Investec W&I targets advisers with new recruit

Investec Wealth & Investment has added to its Reigate office with the appointment of Lucy Grier as business development director.

In her new role, Grier will be tasked with expanding the firm’s discretionary fund management (DFM) business through independent financial advisers (IFA) in the region.

Grier has more than a decade of experience including nearly five years as chief executive of IFA sales and acquisitions,  where she specialised in advising independent financial advisers on buying and selling businesses.

‘We are delighted to welcome someone with Lucy’s calibre into our team in Reigate,’ said Mark Stevens, head of intermediary services, Investec Wealth & Investment.

‘We are seeing strong demand for our DFM proposition from advisers and her career as an IFA means she has an in-depth understanding and appreciation of what IFAs need at this time.

Grier said: ‘I am delighted to be joining Investec Wealth & Investment as it looks to expand its relationships with advisers in Reigate and the wider region.

'The firm has developed a market-leading DFM proposition, helping IFAs keep abreast of the latest investment products as they face an ever-changing regulatory burden.’
