Janus Henderson has hired BlackRock global head of compliance Georgina Fogo as chief risk officer.
Janus Henderson co-chief executives Dick Weil and Andrew Formica (pictured) said: Georgina brings strong risk management credentials and an impressive track record in building and overseeing global risk and compliance platforms.
‘With the regulatory landscape for asset managers and clients becoming increasingly complex, her experience will be invaluable in ensuring Janus Henderson remains at the forefront of the change agenda and risk management best practice.’
Fogo has 15 years of experience in asset management and compliance in Europe and the US, previously working as BlackRock’s head of compliance in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
She joined the company in December 2009 following its acquisition of Barclays, where she also held a lead role in compliance.
