JP Morgan AM hires five in European ETF push

JP Morgan Asset Management's fast-growing exchange traded funds (ETF) business has taken another leap forward with five hires across Europe.

Based across London, Germany, Italy, the Nordics and Spain, the hires all start with immediate effect.

In London, Andrew Moore joins as an ETF capital markets specialist.

Moore joined from Vanguard Asset Management, where over five years he held several roles, including fund accountant, operations specialist and ETF capital markets analyst. Moore was a fund accountant at BNY Mellon prior to Vanguard.

Joining as head of ETF distribution for Germany and Austria is Philip Annecke. He will be responsible for leading the firm’s ETF business in the two countries. Based in London, he was previously at Invesco Powershares where he moved to after the company bought Source.

Antonia Millard, who has been hired as a sales executive is also based in London. She joins from JP Morgan’s own corporate and investment bank, where she worked as an industrials specialist sales representative.

In Italy, Roberta Gastaldello was appointed head of ETF distribution for Italy, based in Milan.

Previously, she was at Amundi Asset Management where she specialised in ETF sales across wholesale and insurance clients.

Tobias Nilsson has been recruited as an ETF specialist to open up the business’ ETF capabilities to clients based in the Nordics. He will be based in Stockholm,

Nilsson joins from Wisdom Tree where he led business development and client coverage in the Nordic countries.

At the same time, Lorena Martinez-Olivares, a sales executive based in Madrid, has also had her role expanded and will now support the ETF distribution effort in Spain.

‘We’re very excited to have Philip, Roberta, Tobias, Andrew, Antonia and Lorena on board with us,’ said Bryon Lake, head of international ETFs at the firm.

‘The collective wealth of industry and ETF experience brought by these new hires significantly enhances our ability to serve clients in key markets. As we rapidly expand our ETF product offerings across Europe, having local ETF distribution expertise is a key part of our strategy.’
