JP Morgan has hired three senior operational staff to support its ETF division as it expands its European distribution.

In London, former head of State Street’s French office Olivier Paquier will join the bank as head of distribution in continental Europe. Also in the UK capital, former Deutsche Bank assistant vice president for ETF products John Harrington joins as head of international beta products.

In Zurich, former deputy head of ETF and index sales at Amundi Ivan Durdevic joins as head of distribution in Switzerland. All appointments are effective immediately.

Head of international ETFs at JPM Asset Management Bryon Lake (pictured) said: ‘We’re very excited to have Olivier, Ivan and John join our rapidly expanding ETF team.

‘Each brings a significant amount of experience to their respective roles. As ETF specialists, their in-depth understanding of the nuances of the ETF market will help us continue to build a best in class business, as we take additional steps towards building our ETF capabilities internationally to serve our clients.’

The appointments follow the recruitment of John Adu as UK head of ETF distribution and Tom Stephens as head of JPM ETF international capital markets in September 2017.
