Jupiter Split Trust chair Campbell dies; Lord Lamont takes over

The chairman of the Jupiter Second Split Trust, Gordon Campbell CBE, has died.

Campbell became chairman of the trust at its launch in 2004 and was also a non-executive director of its predecessor, Jupiter Split Trust, from 2001.

'It is with great sadness that the board of Jupiter Second Split Trust announce the death of Gordon Campbell, CBE, chairman of the company,' the investment company told the stockmarket.  

'His fellow directors, along with his friends at Jupiter Asset Management Limited, extend their condolences and deepest sympathy to his family.'

Former UK chancellor Lord Lamont has been named as the new chairman of the trust.
