Liontrust appoints non-exec to boost ESG focus

Liontrust has appointed a new non-executive director to its board as increasingly focuses on sustainable investments.

Sophia Tickell will be joining the board on 1 October. She is a founding partner of Meteos Limited, a healthcare, energy, climate change and finance think tank.

She has over 15 years’ experience working with asset managers and corporate executives to increase awareness of environmental issues and societal expectations.

Adrian Collins, chairman, said: ‘Sophia will add vast knowledge and insight to the board through her work and involvement with ESG (environmental, social and corporate governance) as it concerns asset management and sustainable investment.

‘This is a key area of focus and expansion for Liontrust following the completion of our acquisition of Alliance Trust Investments in April 2017 and given our belief in the growing importance of sustainability for consumers and investors.

‘I and the rest of the board are looking forward to working with Sophia and to her contribution to the further growth of Liontrust over the coming years.’
