London to Paris cycle 2014: photos & the fastest wealth manager

Last month 20 wealth managers and yours truly set off on an epic cycle journey between two iconic cities, raising some £800,000 for the blood cancer charity, Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research.

On 19th June, 20 wealth managers and I set off on an epic cycling journey from Greenwich Park in London (pictured above) to Paris raising nearly £800,000 for the blood cancer charity, Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research. Sponsored by Catley Lakeman Securities, the four day event was a serious physical challenge but a lot of fun was had along the way and there was a huge sense of achievement when we arrived at the finish line by the Eiffel Tower.

With nearly 250 riders, the event was bigger and better than last year and so was the competition among the participants. PSigma’s Carl Fiford was the fastest in the Catley Lakeman team and came 4th overall, quickly followed by Rathbones’ Jeff Vernon. Surprisingly, Marcus Holden-Craufurd also from Rathbones and who is relatively new to cycling, beat last year’s winner of the wealth manager group, Russell Catley, one of the founders of Catley Lakeman.

Below are the results of the other wealth manager riders followed by photo action from the ride. Those riding in the medium speed group were stopped during their time trial on day 2 so unfortunately they have a few extra minutes added on to their aggregate time.

A big thank you to the charity LLR, Catley Lakeman and everyone else who made the event possible. And congratulations to all the riders!
