Martin's meetings: check out the FCA chief's diary

Martin's meetings: check out the FCA chief's diary

The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has published chief executive Martin Wheatley’s diary for last three months of 2013.

The list of engagements reveals the chief executive had nearly 100 meetings, most of which were with FCA committees, MPs and other regulators.

It does not disclose meetings the FCA boss had with regulated firms.

He met with eight trade bodies, including the Association of Professional Financial Advisers on 27 November.

Wheatley (pictured) met with nine consumer group representatives including founder of Money Saving Expert Martin Lewis, chief executive of Citizens Advice Bureau Gillian Guy and Money Advice Service chairman Andy Briscoe.

The chief executive also listened in on three industry panels, including the FCA practitioner panel, and met with media organisations around half a dozen times.

Chairman John Griffith-Jones also had a number of engagements with MPs, including four meetings with financial secretary to the Treasury Sajid Javid.

John Griffith-Jones met with US regulators from 2 to the 4 October and six other overseas regulators.
