Q&A with Julie Jones, managing director, Myddleton Croft Investment Managers, Leeds:
What is your typical client demographic?
We don’t really have a typical client due to the variety of ages, client types and objectives.
What differentiates your location?
Leeds is a successful and large financial centre. Unlike London, it still feels like a community. Strong cross-business relationships exist between discretionary investment managers, financial advisers, lawyers and accountants.
What challenges are facing your area?
Poor IT infrastructure. The lack of significant broadband capability can impact on most businesses that need reliable connections.
What’s the best thing about living in your area?
Where do we start! There are the Yorkshire Dales and Yorkshire Moors; then there is the sports, beer, restaurants, theatres, cinemas, shopping and most importantly, the people.
What’s a typical regional saying?
‘Be reet’, meaning ‘everything will be fine’.
What is your office motto?
Clients come first.
