On yer bike! wealth managers set for London to Paris charity cycle

For a second year, wealth managers will be pushing themselves to the limit in a grueling 500km cycle ride from London to Paris starting on 19th June.

The event, sponsored by Catley Lakeman Securities and in aid of blood cancer charity Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research, will be bigger and better this year with 300 riders braving the four day challenge.  

The events aims to double the £450,000 raised by the 150 riders in 2013. Here are the highlights of last year’s ride.

Among the riders will be Russell Catley and Andrew Lakeman of Catley Lakeman as well former Crystal Palace and England football players, John Salako and Geoff Thomas, a survivor of leukaemia.

Wealth managers from the likes of Smith & Williamson, Rathbones, Brewin Dolphin, Investec, Brooks MacDonald and Bestinvest have all signed up so far.

And I will be joining them all on Team Citywire!

With rolling road closures throughout France right up to the Arc de Triomphe, the ride looks set to be an incredible experience for all involved.
