Peter Hargreaves donates £1 million shares to charity

Hargreaves Lansdown co-founder Peter Hargreaves has donated shares worth almost £1 million to charity.

Hargreaves disposed of 77,928 shares, each with a market value of £12.83 'by way of a gift to charity' on Wednesday, according to a stock market announcement, a stake worth close to £1 million.

He now holds 32.18% of Hargreaves Lansdown's shares in issue.
