Picton: what to expect from property in 2017

Picton Property Income CEO Michael Morris expects the asset class to deliver solid single digit returns this year, but warns there will be considerable variance between sectors.

Morris explains how he derisked the portfolio in the run up to the referendum vote, reducing debt and exposure to central London.

He also provides detail on how the trust is positioned and how this reflects his view of the property market over the medium-term.

Over 12 months to 1 March, the trust is up 30.5% in share price terms versus a sector average gain of 12.9%. It is currently trading on a 3.1% premium to net asset value.
