Quai beefs up board with Tony Filbin and Jay Swanston hires

Quai Admistration Services has strengthened its board and management team with the hire of Cogent founder Jay Swanston and former Legal & General workplace pensions managing director Tony Filbin.

Filbin (pictured), who left Legal & General earlier this year, joins as a non-executive director with Swanston taking on the full-time role of chief operating officer.

Filbin said: 'The platform market is developing rapidly and Quai are extremely well placed with their flexible, low cost proposition for discretionary managers. I am delighted to be joining at this exciting time.'

Quai's managing director Tony Webb said: 'Having grown the business over the last three years, I’m excited to have Tony and Jay join as they will greatly enhance our capacity for future expansion, we all  look forward to working with them.'

Quai, which was formed in 2011 by a number of Legal & General, BNP Paribas and Brewin Dolphin alumni, provides outsourced investment operations services to wealth managers and is backed by private equity firm Calculus Capital.
