RBC hires private bank director from Credit Suisse

Royal Bank of Canada has hired Credit Suisse private banking director Fiona Lucas as managing director of relationship management in the company’s London office.

In the newly created role, Lucas will report to the company’s international head of sales and relationship management Ross Jennings.

Lucas spent almost seven years at Credit Suisse. She previously served in a range of roles at Barclays, latterly as head of Barclays Wealth, after beginning her career at Lloyds.

Jenning said: ‘We are delighted to welcome Fiona to our sales and relationship management team.

‘Her knowledge and experience will further enhance our client service capabilities, and strengthen our position as a leading wealth manager in the UK and Channel Islands.

‘Our client teams are built from diverse pools of talented individuals enabling us to understand, and deliver on, the complex needs of our clients.

‘Having Fiona join the team strengthens our capabilities to serve clients and demonstrates our ongoing commitment to attract high quality individuals to RBC who will help support our growth efforts both now and in the future.’

The bank has made a series of senior appointments to its client-facing team recently, hiring from Lloyds and Smith & Williamson.

Priya Sriskantharajah and Matthew Hunter joined from Lloyds as director in RBC’s executive client team and associate director of its business owners and entrepreneurs team respectively.

From Smith & Williamson Sharon Templeman joined as a director, alongside Sriskantharajah, while Jakub Brogowski joined the entrepreneurs team as an internal promotion to the post of director.
