RBC hires Standard Chartered PB deputy to head offshore arm

RBC Wealth Management has made Ann Marie Vibert head of offshore private client wealth management.

Vibert joins from Standard Chartered Private Bank in Jersey where she had been executive director and deputy to the head of private banking. Before that, she was head of client infrastructure, and head of client service at the bank.

In her new role Vibert will be accountable for driving and ensuring the continuing success of the private client wealth management (offshore) and British Isles banking teams. Based in Jersey,

She will provide strategic direction for and management of the distribution and banking activities offered by the teams, located in Jersey, Guernsey, London and Dubai.

She reports to Chris Blampied, head of banking, British Isles and Caribbean, RBC Wealth Management, and replaces Tim Houghton, who has recently become head of business development for the same regions.

'Ann Marie has outstanding experience of advising international high net worth individuals, particularly from the high-growth emerging markets. She is the ideal candidate to lead our private client wealth management team as we continue to build out our offering to these clients,' Blampied said.
