Robin Milway, formerly the lead manager on the Neptune US Opportunities fund, has resurfaced with his own venture.
Milway, who left Neptune Investment Management in July, has set up a firm named Arbrook Investors.
The company is an appointed representative of G10 Capital, part of the Lawson Conner Group, which provides regulatory hosting and outsourced compliance services.
Milway is the only director of London-based Arbrook, according to Companies House. At the time of writing he could not be reached for comment.
In the year to the end of May 2017, under Milway’s tenure, the £240.7 million Neptune US Opportunities fund returned 35% compared with a sector average of 30.3%.
The fund’s leadership has changed regularly in the past couple of years.
In May 2016, manager Felix Wintle departed Neptune, leaving US equities head James Hackman in charge. However, Hackman left the firm in September 2016.
Following Milway’s departure, the fund was taken over by Ali Unwin.
Prior to joining Neptune in the new role of head of stock strategy and investment director, Milway – who was previously Citywire AAA-rated – was head of equity research at EFG Asset Management.
Before EFG, he spent nine years working at Cooper Investors in Melbourne.
