Sandaire hires ex-Arbuthnot boss as chief executive

Sandaire hires ex-Arbuthnot boss as chief executive

Family office Sandaire has hired James Fleming as chief executive officer, following his departure from Arbuthnot Latham.

Fleming (pictured) will take up the role on 1 November, succeeding Alexandra Altinger, who joined the business at the beginning of 2014 and led the integration with Lord North Street.

Fleming was most recently vice chairman at Arbuthnot following four years as chief executive. He started his career at Hambros Bank and served as managing director of SG Hambros UK. He then moved to Coutts where he headed up the private bank's international division.

Founder of Sandaire Alex Scott said: 'We thank Alexandra for her commitment to the business and wish her well in her future endeavours. As we commence a new chapter in our development, we are delighted to welcome James.

'His combination of leadership and deep sectoral knowledge gives us confidence in our ability to continue with the successful evolution of our business. With Warwick and James forming a dynamic new partnership, we are very excited about the future.'

A former Wealth Manager cover star, Fleming was succeeded as Arbuthnot Latham chief executive by Ian Henderson back in April 2016.

Commenting on his new role at Sandaire, he said: 'I will use my extensive experience in wealth management to lead the business through its next phase of growth and to enable it to innovate and to better serve the next generation.'
