Sandaire launches real estate joint venture

Sandaire has partnered with property investment and advisory business Delancey to launch Mount Kendal, a joint venture real estate investment service.

Delancey is among the lead investors in some of London’s largest development projects, such as the former Olympic site and a planned overhaul of Elephant & Castle, among a portfolio of sites across the UK.

‘Our collaboration offers an enhanced service to family office clients and real estate investors who require access to specialist expertise with powerful performance credentials,’ said founder and chair of Sandaire Alexander Scott.

‘We look forward to working for the benefit of Mount Kendal’s clients, to crystallise our vision and to create a substantive company.’

Despite the closure of a series of open-ended property funds in the immediate aftermath of the referendum last summer, London real estate markets remain in high demand, with yields stable at historically low levels over the last 12 months.

The IPD UK Property Index reported a total return of 2.8% in 2016, levelling-off following three consecutive years of double-digit growth, as a post-crash overhang of property began to clear.
