Sanlam hires duo from 7IM and Charles Stanley

Sanlam Private Investments has hired Stuart McCann and Vanessa Eve as part of its ongoing expansion programme.

McCann has been appointed senior investment manager, joining the firm’s intermediary services team.

He previously worked at where he was relationship manager and prior to this worked at Fisher Investments as well as Killik & Co.

Eve has joined Sanlam’s Harrogate office as an investment manager, where she will look after Yorkshire-based clients.

Before joining, Eve worked as an investment adviser at Charles Stanley and, prior to this, worked at Rensburg Sheppards.

The appointments follow that of Craig Massey, hired as chief executive, and Bruce Ely-Johnston, who joined as head of business development.

Earlier in the year, the Principal Group changed its name to Sanlam Private Investments as part of a move towards brand alignment.
