Sanlam has been named the Rugby Players Association’s (RPA) wealth management partner and has bolstered its investment team with an ex-football star.
The RPA partnership will see Sanlam provide a range of mentoring and work experience opportunities as well as providing specific seminars and workshops on savings and investment throughout the season for RPA members.
‘We have been working with a number of rugby payers and sports people over the last few years and have been able to help them with on the job, practical work experience and advice – not only within Sanlam, but also with our related professional networks in the legal, accountancy, property and digital professions,' said Sanlam partner Andrew Lewis.

The firm has also added ex professional footballer Lanre Oyebanjo to its investment team.
Oyebanjo started his football career with West Ham United's youth system in 2006 and played for York last season before being released by the club earlier this year.
During an earlier spell with York in 2013, he completed a degree in Mathematics and Finance at City university.
