SLI multi-asset manager joins forces with Tony Yarrow

Citywire A-rated Tony Yarrow is to be joined as co-manager of the Wise Income and Wise Investment funds by incoming investment director Vincent Ropers.

Ropers will join the business next month from Standard Life Investments, where he was a member of its multi-asset and tactical asset allocation teams and helped run its Absolute Return Government Bond fund.

Ropers joined the business following its 2014 acquisition of Ignis, where he was part of subsidiary boutique Maia. He has previously worked at Fidelity and Goldman Sachs.

A spokesman for the company said the appointment was part of a group drive to ‘widen our investment team’.

Company-wide assets have grown from around £100 million to £900 million in recent years, largely as a result of interest in Tony’s son, Citywire AAA-rated Hugh Yarrow’s Evenlode Income fund.
