Swiss boutique Bellecapital has hired Deutsche Bank private banker Nicolas Patsalos (pictured) to bolster its UK operations.
The company, which acquired Williams de Broë's discretionary arm from Investec Wealth & Investment back in 2016, has appointed Patsalos as a senior investment manager and client adviser.
He will be based in London. He spent six years at Deutsche Bank managing assets for UK resident domiciled, non-domiciled and European clients. Prior to that he was at HSBC.
'We are committed to growing our UK client business and welcome Nicolas. The UK and pan-European market is growing again and we are pleased to be expanding our business with professionals who are passionate about investment and client service,' said Mark Eberle, co-founder of Bellecapital.
Henry Simpson, UK director, added: 'We are excited Nicolas has joined our team. He is a highly motivated and talented professional with deep experience working with UK and European clients.'
Bellecapital bought the regulated entity, Williams de Broë Private Investment Management, to facilitate the straightforward transfer of the client book, for an undisclosed sum two years ago.
The company was launched in Zurich in 2009 by a number of HSBC and Barclays Capital alumni and the UK division was set up in 2015. The combined business has $3.1 billion (£2.2 billion) in assets under management.
