Three Brewin Dolphin managers join Hargreave Hale

Three Brewin Dolphin managers join Hargreave Hale

Three Brewin Dolphin investment managers have left the firm to join Hargreave Hale.

The appointment of Neil Jones, Ian Kavanagh and Victoria MacDonald comes as Brewin Dolphin remains locked in a dispute with Charles Stanley, which hired the bulk of Brewin's Leicester team for its own office in the city.

Neil Jones was previously a divisional director at Brewin Dolphin’s London office, and has formerly held positions at HSBC James Capel, Smith & Williamson and Carr Sheppards.

Jones will join the firm alongside Ian Kavanagh, who has 14 years investment management experience, after starting his career at Towry Law. Both will join the firm in November 2014.

The third Brewins hire, Victoria Macdonald, has spent nine years working in the investment sector.

'Neil, Ian and Victoria are excellent additions to our growing business and will bring a wealth of experience and technical expertise to our clients,' said Hargreave Hale chair, Giles Hargreave.

Hargreave Hale is a discretionary investment manager and stockbroker with £3.7 billion under management.
