Troy hires Rothschild man to manage Spectrum fund

Troy Asset Management has hired Tom Yeowart as manager of its £85 million Spectrum fund.

Yeowart joins from Rothschild Wealth Management, where he focused on fund research. He previously worked at Brewin Dolphin, before becoming a portfolio manager at Kaupthing Singer & Friedlander and later Williams de Broe.

The Troy fund, which was previously team-managed, invests across third party Oeics and investment trusts but can also hold direct equities, bonds, cash and precious metals.

Troy’s chief executive Sebastian Lyon (pictured) said: ‘At Troy we are committed to delivering absolute returns to our investors through our particular investment style.  We look forward to welcoming Tom, whose investment experience will enable him to successfully manage our Spectrum fund. 

‘His appointment continues to strengthen our investment team, which now numbers eight. Tom’s particular skills in fund research will play an important role in developing this leg of Troy’s business.’
