Chris Bowie, the former head of credit at Ignis, is to join fixed income boutique TwentyFour Asset Management.

Bowie (pictured) left Ignis following its acquisition by Standard Life; he had joined the firm in 2004 and managed the Ignis Absolute Return Credit and Ignis Corporate Bond funds.

A-rated by Citywire, Bowie had returned 28.7% over the past three years through the £246 million corporate bond fund, a top-quartile performance in his sector where the average fund has generated 23.6% during the period.

TwentyFour currently offers three open-ended bond funds and two closed-ended strategies and has£3.2 billion of assets under management.

Its £460 million Dynamic Bond fund tops its Citywire Global Bonds sector over three years, having returned 37.1% compared with the peer group average of 9.1%.
