Vestra names new Channel Islands director

Vestra names new Channel Islands director

Stephen Rafferty has joined Vestra Wealth as its business development director for the Channel Islands.

Rafferty previously worked at Bank Leumi and AIB Bank in Jersey, focusing on credit, structuring and underwriting deals for both corporate and private clients as well as relationship management for high net worth clients.

At Vestra, Rafferty will be responsible for developing relationships with fiduciary companies and high net worth individuals.

Rafferty noted Vestra’s ‘fresh outlook on wealth management, particularly its pioneering emphasis on transparency and putting the client first’, which he claimed produced ‘a superior service offering for clients’.

Tony Allan, head of business development at Vestra, added that the firm planned to double its headcount in Jersey from the present six in the next 12 to 18 months.

Vestra has £3.9 billion of assets under management and 180 staff in total.
