WH Ireland appoints chief market strategist

WH Ireland has appointed Mike Ingram as chief market strategist.

Ingram joins from BGC Partners where, as a market strategist, he was responsible for the generation of thought-leading investment articles to investors and the financial media.

Previously, Ingram held a number of sales roles, including being a director and head of CEEMEA at the RBS Global Bankinf & Markets and an executive director at KBC.

Chief executive Richard Killingbeck (pictured) said: ‘WH Ireland’s client facing activities will be the focus of this new role within the firm, providing insightful market and political commentary to our clients through thought leadership supporting WH Ireland’s  divisions.

'We are now looking to increase our profile across all of our clients whether they be private individuals, corporate clients or institutional clients. Mike has an impressive history of providing timely and relevant ideas, strategic thinking and directional insight on a holistic capital markets basis.’

Earlier this month, WH Ireland head of wealth management Roddy Buchanan told Wealth Manager the firm is putting a lot of focus on raising its profile and in the past three years has made substantially investment in marketing.

The firm also opened a new Manchester base in June to enhance its presence in the city.
