Woodford raids Barclays for latest hire

Neil Woodford has turned to Barclays to bolster his investment team further.

Woodford Investment Management has recruited Grant Wentzel from the bank as its senior dealer.

Wentzel had worked at Barclays since 2009, having previously served at Lehman Brothers and before that JP Morgan.

Woodford Investment Management gained FCA approval last week, and has hired a team of four analysts and portfolio managers to support the Citywire A-rated manager.

In an exclusive video with Citywire, Woodford explained that he was building an investment firm ‘fit for the 21st century’.
