Newton hires HSBC Private Bank's Huijnen

Newton Investment Management has bolstered it private client team with the hire of Clare Huijnen from HSBC Private Bank.

Huijnen joins the team as an investment manager reporting to Caroline Mair, head of international private clients at Newton, having been an investment counsellor at HSBC since March 2010.

Prior to that, she worked at Swiss private bank Clariden Leu as part of their portfolio management unit for over 12 years.

‘Over the past two years we have been steadily strengthening our international private client business with a number of senior appointments in order to reinforce our existing client service and to meet an increase in new clients, Clare is another excellent addition to our team,’ said Mair.

Huijnen will help the firm build its international private client offering and will take part in business development, client services and investment management activities.
