Nick Ring named Threadneedle's distribution head

Threadneedle has appointed Nick Ring as its new head of distribution, replacing Campbell Fleming.

Fleming took on the role of chief executive officer at the beginning of March, and Ring will take up his position from today. 

Ring has also been appointed to Threadneedle’s business executive committee, and will report to Fleming (pictured).

Announcing the appointment, Fleming said: 'Nick brings to the head of distribution role extensive technical knowledge and industry experience, combined with a strong strategic focus.

'He is well placed to lead the distribution team as we continue to strive to deliver outstanding service, effective product solutions and leading investment performance for our diverse range of clients globally.'

As head of distribution, Ring will be responsible for leading Threadneedle’s sales, client service, marketing and product development efforts.

Ring, who has served with Threadneedle since 2008 as its head of product, said of his promotion: 'I’m pleased to be taking on this role at an exciting time for Threadneedle.

'We have a very strong distribution team in place and we are focused on serving our clients and partnering with them to deliver effective solutions in what continues to be a challenging landscape for investors and for the investment management industry.'
