Numis chairman Sir David Arculus to stand down
by Dylan Lobo on Mar 14, 2014 at 07:49
Numis chairman Sir David Arculus is to step down.
Arculus, who has held the role for five years, will be replaced by Gerald Corbett in May.
Corbett joined the board in May 2009 as a non-executive director and has also served as a member of the Audit & Risk Committee, the Nominations Committee and the Remuneration Committee.
Arculus told the market: 'It has been truly absorbing to be part of Numis over the last five years, which has been both challenging and hugely rewarding.
'Through the hard work and dedication of its people, the firm successfully navigated the downturn and is now stronger than it has ever been. I wish the firm continued success in the future.'
Numis chief executive Oliver Hemsley added: 'On behalf of the Board I would like to thank Sir David for his valuable contribution and tireless dedication to Numis during his tenure as chairman. We wish him every success for the future.'
