by James Phillipps on Sep 10, 2010 at 14:16

Old Mutual Asset Management chief executive officer Tom Turpin is leaving the firm.

The group’s chief operating officer Linda Gibson will take over his day to day responsibilities as interim CEO while a replacement is sought.

Gibson will report directly to Julian Roberts, group chief executive.

In a statement Old Mutual Asset Management said: ‘With the announcement of our intention to instigate a partial initial public offering, Tom has decided that it is the right time to pursue other professional and personal interests.’

For clarity, this appears to be a story about OMAN in the US (see https://www.oldmutualus.com/utility/about/executive-team.aspx) - not OMAN in the UK (where the CEO appears to still be Peter Baxter - http://www.oldmutualfunds.co.uk/Aboutus/People/Executivemanagementteam/tabid/537/Default.aspx).
