Old Mutual Wealth adds former Cofunds chair Davies to board
by Jun Merrett on Sep 02, 2013 at 11:46
Old Mutual Wealth has appointed former Cofunds chairman Simon Davies to its board as one of three new non-executive directors.
Davies, who was also a non-executive director at Cofunds, became chairman of the fund supermarket in July 2010, taking over the role from Charlie Eppinger who moved to be chief executive at the platform following Brett Williams' surprise departure.
Davies was also executive chairman at Threadneedle Investments and non-executive director at adviser network Intrinsic. He will now chair Old Mutual Wealth's remuneration committee.
Old Mutual has also appointed Ashok Gupta and Jane Hanson to its board. Gupta will chair Old Mutual Wealth's audit committee and Hanson will chair the group's board risk committee.
Paul Feeney, chief executive of Old Mutual Wealth, said: 'I am excited that three such experienced non-executive directors are joining our board. Old Mutual Wealth is at a crucial stage of its development and the knowledge and expertise Ashok, Jane and Simon will add to the business will be invaluable in helping us achieve our vision of becoming the best investment business in the market.'
