On yer bike! Discretionaries get set for London-Paris charity cycle
by Dylan Lobo on Mar 07, 2013 at 13:35
A number of wealth managers are set to don lycra in an attempt to cover 400 kilometres in a charity London to Paris cycle ride.
The event, sponsored by Catley Lakeman Securities, will take place over four days from 6 June with the structured product firm’s founder Russell Catley among those cycling.
Those trying manfully to emulate Tour de France champion Bradley Wiggins will raise money for Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research, a charity dedicated to improving the lives of those with blood cancers including leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma.
Research shows around 30,000 people, from infants to adults, are diagnosed with a blood cancer in the UK every year.
Former Crystal Palace and England international footballer Geoff Thomas (pictured), a leukaemia survivor himself, has been signed up, along with fellow former footballers Ian Wright, John Salako and Mitchell Thomas.
Wealth Manager and our parent company Citywire are delighted to have been named the official media partner for the event. We will provide you with regular updates via guest blogs, videos, features and social media in the run up to the ride, along with comprehensive coverage of the event itself.
For those interested in taking part there are still places available. Click here to find out more.
