Overnight Markets: Jobs data lifts Dow to another record high

The MSCI Asia Pacific Index slipped 0.3% to 135 as of 11:27 a.m. in Tokyo. Australia’s S&P/ASX 200 Index slipped 0.4%. South Korea’s Kospi Index declined 0.8%. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index was little changed and China’s Shanghai Composite Index dropped 0.6%.

Japan’s Nikkei 225 Stock Average rose 0.6%, poised to close at the highest level since September 2008.
