Overnight Markets: Most US stocks advance amid corporate earnings

The MSCI Asia Pacific Index slipped 0.6% to 139 as of 10:55 a.m. in Tokyo. China’s Shanghai Composite Index slid 0.3%, while Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index both dropped 1.2%.
South Korea’s Kospi index slipped 0.6%. Australia’s S&P/ASX 200 Index fell 0.5% and New Zealand’s NZX 50 Index lost 0.4%. Japan’s Topix index swung between gains and losses.
